Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a subject radiator with capillary channels in an inner surface thereof which enables a steady radiation even when it tilts, by a method wherein a center part of a heat pipe with channels at the inside thereof is formed so as to act as a heating part in which a semiconductor is used, radiation parts are formed at both ends, and the heat pipe is filled with working fluid.
CONSTITUTION: A heating unit 2, which serves as a heat source for a semiconductor 3 at a metal block 4, is positioned at a center part of a heat pipe 1, and radiation parts 5 and 5' having radiation fins 6 and 6', respectively, are located at both ends. The heat pipe 1 is filled with 15W45vol% of working fluid which is more than an amount normally needed. This causes the radiation part 5 or 5', which is positioned in a lower level, to become a bottom mode even when the radiators 5 and 5' tilts, whereby the performance is almost prevented from deterioration, and a steady radiation can be obtained even if a pipe with channels in an inner surface is used with what is filled with a specific amount of working fluid. This allows obtaining of a semiconductor radiator which has a steady radiation effect and in which the heat pipe with channels in the inner surface thereof is used.
