Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a hydrogen combusting low-NOx burner, safe and free of backfire, by supporting an air pipe on the inside of a burner nozzle pipe, in the manner that air is drawn out by the flow of fuel gas.
CONSTITUTION: The top of an air pipe 2 is placed on the inside of a nozzle formed by converging the top portion of a fuel-gas supply pipe 1 at an angle of 10W45°, and the output port of the air pipe 1 is opened through the bottom plate of the fuel-gas supply pipe 1. By the relationship between the above pipe diverging angle and the issuing speed of hydrogen gas, air is drawn out from the top of air pipe 2 and mixed with hydrogen gas. By causing combustion of the mixture gas while keeping the ratio of primary air to fuel gas at about 0.5W0.8, the first flame 6, high in the temperature and containing excessive fuel is formed on the inside and the second flame 4, low in the temperature and containing excessive air is formed upwards and outwards of the first flame 6. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to prevent occurrence of back-fire and to reduce the amount of NOx contained in the exhaust gas. Therefore, such a hydrogen combusting burner can be used as domestic or public burner safely and with ease.
