Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect defective welding surely with a simple circuit composition, by detecting the envelope belt of welding the primary electric current wave-form and by controlling the standard voltage of comparator in accordance with its level.
CONSTITUTION: The welding primary electric current flowing through the primary side of welding transformer 14 is detected by transformer 22, and sent to the primary amplifier 26 through rectifier 24. This signal is sent to the primary comparator 30 and low-pass filter 32 after level adjustment and separation are made on the signal at the secondary amplifier 28. The signal from which high frequency component has been removed by low-pass filter 32, is impressed to the primary comparator 30 after it is reduced to a required level at voltage level transducer 34. Both signals are compared with comparator 30, and only when the output is low level, driving circuit 40 is added and relay 42 is operated, and informing mechanism 44 informs occurrences of defective welding.
