Abstract

PURPOSE: To assemble needle rollers held by a needle holding member automatically in an expanded diameter part of a counter gear by a method wherein air cylinders are operated.
CONSTITUTION: When a counter gear 01 where grease is coated on the internal circumference of an expanded diameter part 04 rolls and falls on a chute 1 and is held in a concave groove 5 of a receiving member 3, air cylinders 31, 37 operate simultaneously and a needle roller holding member 25 and an inserting member 35 are slided in a unitary body in an axial direction. Then, needle rollers 02 held at an aligned part 26 are inserted into a desired position in the expanded diameter part 04 of a counter gear 01 to stop the movement of air cylinders 31, 37. Furthermore, the air cylinder 31 operates, the holding part 25 is returned from the expanded diameter part 04 to the original position and stopped, at this time the needle rollers 02 remain on the internal circumference of the expanded diameter part 04 because grease in the expanded diameter part 04 plays a role of adhesives. Further movement of the cylinder 37 returns the inserting member 35 to the original position.
