Abstract

PURPOSE: To make small an overall size of a carbureter as well as simplify an accelerator by feeding a acceleration fuel which is compressed air discharged from an air pump coupled to a throttling valve to an air chamber of a diaphragm type carbureter.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel chamber 3 and an air chamber 5 are segmented by a diaphragm 4. Into the fuel chamber 3 through a control valve 9 is introduced fuel which is discharged with head from a fuel tank not illustrated in these figures. The fuel is further fed into an air-intake channel 1 through a main nozzle 16. Levers 20, 21 and 22, fastened to a throttling valve 18 in the air-intake channel 1, are in direct contact with a lever 24 of an air pump 23. Responding to opening and closing of the throttling valve 18, the air is compressed in an operating chamber 28. The compressed air is carried to an air chamber 5 through a pipe 31 and discharges the fuel in the fuel chamber 3 as an acceleration fuel by moving vertically the diaphragm 4.
