Abstract

PURPOSE:To demodulate R-Y signal and B-Y signal with one local sub-carrier oscillator, by alternately using the burst signal and that of phase-shifted by 180 deg. through selection, in a color demodulator of PAL system color TV receiver. CONSTITUTION:A burst signal is picked up at a burst pickup circuit 6 from carrier chrominance signal, and the burst signal and that phase-shifted by 180 deg. are fed to an automatic phase control circuit 10 through alternate switching of frequency fH/2 a half the horizontal pulse frequency. The output of a local sub-carrier transmitter 11 and that phase-shifted by 180 deg. are alternately switched at fH/2 and fed to a R-Y demodulator 4, and the output of the local sub-carrier oscillator 11 phase-shifted by -90 deg. and that by +90 deg. are alternately switched through the positive and negative output in phase discrimination of the output of the burst pickup circuit at a phase discriminator 18 and fed to a B-Y demodulator 5. Accordingly, since one local sub- carrier oscillator can demodulate the R-Y and B-Y signals, the circuit integration is made easy.
