Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce an o/w type emulsion suprior in stability, by controlling the emulsification temperature within a specific range when an oily material is emulsified in water by the nonionic surface active agent and soap. CONSTITUTION:In case that the nonionic surface active agent such as fatty acid monoglyceride and the soap such as an alkali metal salt of fatty acid are used as the emulsifier to disperse an oily material into water and produce an o/w type emulsion, the emulsification temperature is controlled within the range of the phase inversion temperature of the emulsion or the phase inversion temperature+10 deg.C. Then, the size of emulsion drop becomes uniform, and the o/w type emulsion superior in stability is obtained. Consequently, it is used widely for cosmetics and shampoo.
