Abstract

PURPOSE:The titled apparatus, capable of detecting broken fibers accurately, in which a fiber sensor and a broken fiber counting apparatus are traveled along a spindle rail in a ring spinning frame. CONSTITUTION:A traveling car 3 is moved back and forth along a spindle rail 1 of a ring spinning frame according to the command of a central processing unit, and a yarn sensor 17 to detect the presence of a yarn by contact of a probe 18 at the tip thereof with ballooning 20 of the yarn. The number of the yarn from the detected signal by the yarn sensor 17 is counted by a main circuit 24, and converted into light by a light emitter 26. The light signal is received by a receptor 27, and a broken yarn display circuit is driven by the receptor signal to count the number of the broken yarn.
