Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce finishing processes by reproducing a model with fidelity by interpolating coordinate points, corresponding to data, right before the occurrence of an overshoot and right after its recovery by a straight line or arc and then by correcting a disused coordinate part.
CONSTITUTION: Respective coordinate points shown by black dots correspond to the circumferential shape of a model at the coordinates, those shown by white dots to coordinate data obtained in an overshoot. Here, a check on whether the section P1WPn right before the overshoot can be interpolated linearly is checked; when respective coordinate points are on segment P1Pn or within the range of an allowable error, linear interpolation is carried out and when they are away from the segment, arc interpolation is done.
