CONSTITUTION:To terminal phiBS' via which photoconductor DN is applied with a signal, pulse phiBS (blooming suppression pulse) is applied to increase suddenly the potential of diode DS by the extent that corresponds to the amplitude value of this pulse, preventing a decrease in dynamic range. In addition, the potential of diode DS is clamped to a constant level by the high level potential of pulse phiBS to prevent the potential of diode DS during the period of light signal storage from dropping below the constant potential. Thus, the effect of the suppression of blooming is increased remarkably without entailing burning.
