Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the time duration for the ghost elimination as well as increase the converging velocity of the ghost eliminating action, by utilizing the plural number of horizontal synchronous signals within the vertical flyback time for the ghost eliminating reference signal. CONSTITUTION:The eliminating device consists of compensation signal generator circuit 2, sample pulse generator circuit 4, sampling circuit 6 and others. When the sampling signal which is the output of circuit 6 is not generated, the coefficient value at No.n scanning line of the unit coefficient circuit within circuit 2 corresponding to the sampling point becomes equal to the coefficient value at the horizontal scanning line of No.n+1. Thus no correcting action is given. However, in case the horizontal synchronous ghost signal is generated, the coefficient varies to give correction to the coefficient value of the coefficient circuit at the No.m sampling point. Accordingly, the coefficient value of the ghost signal is set to 0 to be converged to such coefficient value as to become equal to the coefficient of the both scanning lines. The ghost component is eliminated out of the video signal when the coefficient value of the ghost signal becomes 0 at all sampling points. For the rest parts, the ghost is eliminated over the full field since no correction is given.
