Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the precision of the adjustment of a brush-height control member by providing eccentric cam plates at both ends of the brush-height control member in the axial direction of a development sleeve and by increasing the movement extent of the brush-height control member at an adjustment side by those eccentric cam plates.
CONSTITUTION: Shafts 11 and 110 are rotated externally to release eccentric cam plates 9 and 90 and adjusting knobs 10 and 100 from fixation. Into the gap between brush-height control plate 5 and the circumferential surface of development sleeve 4, the gap gauge with a thickness that corresponds to the gap to be adjusted is inserted and adjusting knobs 10 and 100 are rotated respectively to bring the tip part 5c of control plate 5 into contact with the gap gauge, thereby completing the adjustment.
