Abstract

PURPOSE: To transcripe and record signals easily magnetically, by bringing the magnetic face of a magnetic recording medium to be transferred into contact with the magnetic recording medium, where signals are recorded in concaves and convexes, and by applying a magnetic field from the external in the thickness direction of these magnetic recording media.
CONSTITUTION: Magnetic face 4 of magnetic recording medium to be transferred is brought into contact with magnetic face 2 of master magnetic recording medium 1, where signals are recorded in concaves and convexes, oppositely. Magnets 5 and 6 are so arranged that their different magnetic poles may be opposite to each other while interposing these magnetic recording media 1 and 3, and an intensive magnetic field is applied to magnetic recording media 1 and 3 in their thickness direction. As a result, magnetic recording medium 3 to be transferred is magnetized by different intensity corresponding to signal concaves and convexes of master magnetic recording medium 1, and a magnetization pattern corresponding to signal concaves and convexes is obtained, thus transferring and recording signals magnetically. In this case, since transfer recording can be performed under high-speed running of the magentic recording medium, this system is sutiable for mass production of transfer.
