Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture thin wall heat exchanger member having high dimensional accuracy and complicated form at a low cost, by electroplating a matrix of heat exchanger member, made of low melting alloy, with copper, then by heating the electroplated matrix so as to melt and remove the low-melting alloy matrix. CONSTITUTION:A matrix of a heat exchanger mode is formed by using low-melting alloy of about <=200 deg.C m.p. such as Wood's metal. The matrix is electroplated with copper and, if necessary, with burnt deposit in addition. Subsequently, the matrix is heated to a temp. not lower than the m.p., thereby melting and removing the low- melting alloy. This method allows to improve the working precision of complicated, small size heat exchanger and to reduce the progress of work.
