Abstract
PURPOSE:To accelerate vacuum degassing treatment, such as decarburization reaction, by homonizing a molten steel in a ladle by forced mixing at the initial stage of the circulating vacuum degassing treatment that a molten steel having constant quality may be supplied to the vacuum degassing treatment tank always. CONSTITUTION:During an unstable period at the begining of vacuum degas treatment (RH treatment), namely at least 5-10min from the commencement of treatment, molten steel 6 contained in ladle 5 is agitated by a blown gas from plug 7 and density difference between upper and lower layers of molten steel is eliminated. As a result, the total processing time can be reduced.
