Abstract
PURPOSE:To assure the interval with higher accuracy, by smashing a cathode supporting tube through a cathode sleeve and contacting tightly thereby maintaining the accuracy through tight fitting. CONSTITUTION:In an insulative supporting member 12 fitting with a squeezing side wall of G1 electrode 1, one face will contact with the inner face of G1 electrode 1 while at the other face a strut 13 and a cathode supporting tube 14 are welded and extending, and the lower end of the cathode supporting tube 14 is smashed into a buttefly screw to be contacted with a cathode sleeve 15 welded with a cathode cup 10 blown with a cathode 4. Then the cathode sleeve 15 is adjusted such that the face of cathode 4 has minute gap in the direction of the opening of G1 electrode with reference to the face of the supporter 12 contacting with the inner face of G1 electrode 1 to weld the portion contacting tightly with the cathode supporting tube 14. After completion the insulative supporting member is inserted into the inner face of the electrode and contacted, then pressed by a retainer 8 and welded. Consequently an electron gun structure having high accuracy can be obtained.
