CONSTITUTION:A relatively low temperature region on an exposed face of electrical heat generating members 2a, 2b is coated with a thin film 21a of carbon, metal carbide, metal boride, nitrogen boride or such material as not react with La, B, while the region on the heat generating members 2a, 2b contacting with the cathode 1 is also coated with thin film 21b of said material. Consequently the diffusion and the permeation of La, B into the heat generating member can be blocked and the resistance can be prevented from changing as the time elapses resulting in electron current stable for long time.
