Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a compact stretching apparatus with ease of film stretching by individually devising the delivery roll of a film, the take-up roll and the widthwise inducing device.
CONSTITUTION: A film is delivered from film delivering rolls 1 and strectched widthwise with a film width stretch inducing device 3 while taken up by film take- up rolls rotating at a high spread whereby the film is biaxially stretched simultaneoulsy. Thus, a film can be obtained with a simple apparatus. The delivery rolls 1 and the take-up rolls herein used are divided into a central delivery roll 11 and a central take-up roll 21 and a lug delivery roll 12 and a lug take-up roll 22 respectively. The inducing device 3 is designed to house and retain the lug of the film while blowing air adjusted in the temperature against the film. This reduces the sliding resistance between the lug of the film and the inducing device thereby facilitating the widthwise stretching of the film.
