Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a uniform multifilament yarn with little denier unevenness in the long direction, by taking off filaments through specific uniforming plates before solidification with horizontal cooling air.
CONSTITUTION: Filaments extruded from the spinning block 1 are passed through the uniforming plates 8 and 8' comprising the passage holes 9 before solidification with horizontal cooling air blown from the cooling unit 4 consisting of the horizontal blowing spinning stack. One plate 8 may be used; however, two or more plates are preferred. Preferably, the plates 8 and 8' are divided into two parts, i.e. the front and back halves, and attached separately for facilitating the spinning starting operation.
