Abstract

PURPOSE: A heated liquid is poured into the inside of polymer tube whose top end is opened, thereby heating the tube and orienting uniformly even a polymer with high intital orientation stress by the gravity of the liquid at a high stretch ratio.
CONSTITUTION: The bottom end of a tube of (meth)acrylonitrile polymer is closed with, e.g., nip roll R1 and the top end is opened. A heated liquid, such as the liquid of coagulation bath, or fluidized solid is poured into the inside and the film is stretched in the wide direction by the gravity of the liquid. Then the tube is split with cutter C and taken up with roll R2.
EFFECT: Resulting films are high accurate in thickness and the production speed can be raised.
