Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the painting booth wherein an outside of a collecting apparatus and an inside, especially, a rear part of a treating chamber are cleaned in an extremely easy manner constituted by making a mist collecting apparatus separable from the booth main body in the painting booth with a system for collecting paint mists by using a liquid.

CONSTITUTION: In sucking paint mists sprayed into a painting chamber 13 at a position 14, by a liquid sucked by a high speed air stream generated in a gap between an inclined plate 20 of a water surface A and a lower end B of a receiving tray 18, said paint mists are impinged to a liquid membrane formed on an inner surface of a vortex plate 19 of a vortex chamber C and collected therein. Moreover, said paint mists are collected by numberless liquid droplets generated by a liquid scattered from a terminal end of the plate 19 and impinged on a vertical surface 17 to be broken. Subsequently, the liquid collecting this paint mists is returned to a forward part of a water tank 15 from the receiving tray 18 through a return pipe 25 and, moreover, the liquid revolved into a rear part of the plate 19 is returned to a lower water tank 15. Moreover, a mist collecting apparatus 16 fixed to a frame 21 is withdrawn from the booth main body 10 and cleaned to remove a sludge attached to the plate 19, the vertical surface 17, a pipe 23 or the like over a long period use.
