Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform defoaming of a slurry paint effectively without changing the quality of the paint by strongly jetting a slurry paint containing air bubbles through a spray gun so as to cause the paint to collide against walls and buffle plates without drying the paint.
CONSTITUTION: A slurry paint containg air bubbles is strongly jetted through a spray gun without drying the paint and then made to collide against walls and buffle plates, and the sprayed liquid particles are collected. The preferred diameter of the nozzle mouth of the spray gun is 0.5W4.0mm, and also the preferred pressure for atomizing air and the preferred amount of paint jetted from the spray gun are 1W 7kg/cm2 and 60W1,000ml/min, respectively. For example, a slurry paint containing air bubbles is jetted through the spray gun 1 with an air-atomizing type two-fluid nozzle and made to collide against the side walls, etc., of the chamber 2, and then defoamed paint is collected in the container 4.
