Abstract

Between the weight 4 and the outer tube 3 is provided the pressure-sensitive element having electrodes on both surfaces thereof such as, for instance, a piezoelectric substance. Receiving the side waves of vibrations from an optional direction, the outer tube 3 and the weight 4 vibrate in that direction and the weight 4 gives a stress to the piezoelectric substance every time when it vibrates. The electric charge generated in the electrode of the piezoelectric substance 6 corresponding to the magnitude of this stress is transferred to a processing circuit and processed there as a signal, thereby sensing the vibration.
