Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a completion of indexing operation of the output shaft with respect to the input shaft as fast as possible by a method wherein an intermediate axis is separated at its midway part and a non-equal speed rotation gear is arranged between the separated intermediate shafts. CONSTITUTION:Non-circular gears 5, 6 engaging with each other are fixed to the input axis 2 and the intermediate axis 3, thereby their relative engagement is always kept. Warm cam 8 of the index angle cam mechanism 7 is fixed to the intermediate axis 3 and engaged with the roller 10. The roller 10 is guided by a helical cam groove at an outer circumference of the worm cam 8 to cause the roller disc 9 to be rotated around the output shaft 4. When ten pieces of rollers are applied and the worm cam 8 is rotated by about 120 deg., the roller disk 9 is rotated by about 36 deg. of the roller 10. When the worm cam 8 is rotated by about 240 deg., the roller disk 9 is stopped at its position and the output axis 4 is simultaneously rotated.
