Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a stabilized idling and improve a performance of acceleration by a method wherein a flywheel attached to a crank shaft of an engine is divided into two sections, made to be assembled or separated in response to a degree of rotational speed, and thereby their inertia force is made to be variable. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is set at an idling or a low speed operation, the rotational speed of the crank shaft 1 and the flywheel 2 is kept low and a centrifugal force acting on the weight 8 of the centrifugal pushing device 7 is also kept low. Thus, the disc 10 is rotated against the flywheel 5 under an action of the spring 12, pressed strongly thereagainst to cause the flywheel 5 to be pressed against a friction plate 6 between it and the flywheel 2. Due to this arrangement, both flywheels 2 and 5 are integrally assembled to produce a high inertia force. On one hand, when a rotation of the shaft 1 is exceeded over a predetermined number of rotation, a centrifugal force of the weight 8 is exceeded over a force of the spring 12 and the disc 10 is moved away from the flywheel 5. The flywheels 5 and 2 are disassembled to show a low inertia force.
