Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a flywheel which can adapt to periodical rotary fluctuation of a rotary shaft and can start or stop in a short time. CONSTITUTION:As weights 3 are all faced in radial directions when a rotary shaft 1 rotates at full speed, the difference between long connecting rods 4 and short connecting rods 4 produces difference in rotational inertia if the weights 3 are all identical to each other in weight. Torque variation of the rotary shaft 1 do not require a large-sized flywheel, because this device unifies the torque variations. When the rotary shaft 1 starts or stops, the connecting rods 4 are tilted and the weights 3 move around the edge of a guide disk 8 at reduced speed of the rotary shaft 1 and no moment of inertia is practically produced. Therefore, starting or stopping can be quickly achieved.
