Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a smooth rotation of a dehydrating tub without giving it a swing motion, by forming a bevelled groove at a balancing device of a dehydrator so that balance weights will not roll out of the groove when the dehydrating tub is rotating at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A groove 14 having an inclined inner wall of an outer circumference is formed, and balance weights 11 are arranged at a bottom part of a balancing device 10 of a centrifugal dehydrator and in the whole circumference so as to leave no space between the balance weights when the dehydrating tub 9 is on a standstill. When the dehydrating tub 9 rotates at a higher rotative speed than an inherent frequency of a dehydrating tub support system, a centrifugal force causes the balance weights to move opposite to the side where a unbalance is produced due to clothes, etc., and a plural number of the balance weights 11 gather in line at a required part of the inner wall of the outer circumference at the upper part of the balancing device 10. This causes the vibration of the dehydrating tub 9 to be reduced, and permits the dehydrating tub to smoothly rotate without any swing motion.
