Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent irregularity of lubrication from occurring and to accomplish high-speed lubrication in a lubrication structure using magnetic fluid as a lubricant by a method wherein a cylindrical or block-form magnet is arranged in the inside, the outside and the intermediate void of a double row bearing.
CONSTITUTION: In a bearing structure of a rolling stock, a cylindrical or a block- form solid magnet 19 is installed in each of the inside 16, the outside 17, the intermediate void 18 of a double row cylindrical roller bearing 3 in an axle box body 9. Magnetic fluid 23 having a large saturated magnetism is painted on a bearing void 20, a roller surface 21, a journal neck void 22 of a bearing 3 and the magnetic fluid 23 is held on the roller surface 21 through the operation of magnetic force radiated from the magnet 19 to accomplish smooth lubrication. The magnet 19 is provided between an oil seal groove 14 and a labyrinth groove 15 to prevent rain water and the like from flowing from the outside or the fluid from leaking from the inside by the sealing operation of the magnetic fluid 23 in the journal neck void 22.
