Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a pickup cartridge of a small distortion, by providing a magnet, which is magnetized in the coil direction, at the middle point of the coil and by supporting the vibration system through the damper for the magnet. CONSTITUTION:Vibration system 4 is supported through damper 3 for magnet 2. This vibration system 4 is provided with coils L1 and L2 with the magnet as the center. Coils are separated from fulcrum S of the vibration system by l1 and l2 respectively. The form of spool 6 is selected properly, and coils are mounted, and the magnet consisting of rare earth elements and so on is used to improve linearity; and when l1=l2, the distortion can be reduced considerably. By this constitution, a pickup cartridge of a good crosstalk characteristic can be obtained. If yoke 5 is provided, a uniform magnetic field can be obtained, and the output waveform where distortion is reduced furthermore is obtained.
