Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent miss convergence, by providing a permanent magnet, which generates such magnetic flux that the influence of the disturbed magnetic flux generated by the eddy current of the getter device may be cancelled practically, near the getter device. CONSTITUTION:Permanent magnet 50 is provided near getter device 9 on the outside wall of funnel 6 and is formed into a plate approximately. Permanent magnet 50 is so magnetized that the N pole may be generated in the side near getter device 9, namely, in the upper side and the S pole may be generated in the opposite side in the CRT device for TV. Consequently, magnetic flux 41 generated by permanent magnet 50 is geneated through getter device 9 from below upward. Since this magnetic flux is completely opposite to the disturbance magnetic flux generated by the eddy current of getter device 9, the disturbance magnetic flux can be almost cancelled if magnitude of magnetization is selected properly. Consequently, disadvantageous miss convergence can be prevented.
