Abstract

PURPOSE:To direct an antenna alone in the best direction accurately by detecting the level of the intermediate frequency signal of a receiver and then by indicating the level by an indication. CONSTITUTION:A radio wave, when arriving at parabolic antenna 1 from a broadcasting satellite, is frequency-converted by converter 2 and sent to FM demodulator 5. The signal sent to demodulator 5 is supplied to intermediate amplifying circuit 9 via frequency converting circuit 8. Then, AGC circuit 12 in circuit 9 outputs a level output, which corresponds to the input level of circuit 9, to pulse-width modulating circuit 13. Circuit 13 varies the amplitude of the output pulse by the output of circuit 12. This output pulse is sent to converter 2 by being superposed upon the working current of converter 2 by superposing circuit 14. This output pulse is separated by pulse separating circuit 18 in converter 2 to make AC voltmeter 19 indicate the level. Thus, the value of the input level can be known at the side of antenna 1 and one can direct antenna 1 alone in the best direction.
