Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of device B by constituting device B so that light to be transmitted from device A can be modulated according to data to be transmitted before being transmitted. CONSTITUTION:Transmission-reception control part 8a of device A transmits data to be transmitted by turning on electrophoto converter 3a by pulse-width modulation. This light signal is transferred to photoelectric converte 4b of device B. Transmission-reception control part 8b of device B fetches the data by series-parallel conversion. Next, control part 8a enters the data reception mode and at this time, a signal long in pulse width is transferred to device B in series. In device B, a control signal is supplied from control part 8b to variable branching device 9 according to the data to be transmitted and the quantity of light sent from branching device 9 back to device A is controlled. In device A, the transmitted light signal is received by converter 4a and control part 8a diciphers and fetches this signal. Thus, the circuit constitution of the transmission-reception control part of device B is simplified.
