PURPOSE:To prevent error signal transmission by making a reception side to answer back to a transmission side, by confirming the coincidence between an original transmitting signal and the answer-back signal at the transmission side, and by sending a coincidence signal from the transmission side to reception side when the coincidence is confirmed. CONSTITUTION:Signal switching unit 17 is connected to the A-port side and after the output signal of signal level converter 11 is converted into series one by parallel- series converter 12 and then converted into a photo signal by electrophoto converter 13, series-converted data are transmitted to input-output device 50 via optical-fiber cable 30. In device 50, the data are converted into an electric signal by photoelectric converter 51 and then converted into parallel one by series-parallel converter 52 before being stored temporarily in memory element 58.
