Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate an exclusion of air bubbles and save ink by a method wherein an ink vessel for removing the air communicating with an ink tank is connected to an ink passage provided inbetween a nozzle and the ink tank. CONSTITUTION:Ink, supplied from an ink tank 17, is introduced into a pressure chamber 3 and receives a pressure caused by a piezoelectric element thereby being injected from a nozzle 2. An air bubble discharging passageway 19 is provided between the and the pressure chamber 3 and is filled with ink in usual. Now, in case the air bubble is mixed into the pressure chamber 3, a lid 29 for the nozzle 2 is pushed against the nozzle 2 about a supporting point 30 togehter with a spring 34 by a cam 32 rotating about a supporting point 30, for example, and a pump 22 is operated to return the air bubble together with the ink through an air bubble discharging pipe 21 and an inlet port 23 of an ink tank 16.
