Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare a seamless printing master high in precision easily and rapidly, by feeding a liquid photosensitive resin between a master making cylinder and an image carrier moving at a speed equal to the peripheral speed of the cylinder and exposing the resin to the light passed through the slit of a hard plate and the image carrier. CONSTITUTION:Hard plate 1 made of glass or the like transmitting an active ray is fixed at a specified interval to measter making cylinder 5 prepared by forming an adhesive layer and a subbing layer on cylinder 5 made of metal or the like, and image carrier 4, such as a negative or positive film is moved in contact with plate 1 at a speed equal to the peripheral speed of cylinder 5, interval (t) between cylinder 5 and carrier 4 is kept constant e.g. by providing concentric flanges on both the ends of cylinder 5, and liquid photosensitive resin 6 having viscosity eta>=3,000cps at 20 deg.C is fed into the space between carrier 4 and cylinder 5.
