Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a voltage step-up circuit whose output efficiency does not decrease even at low-voltage by a method wherein two or more IGFET's, three or more complementary type inverter circuits, etc., are connected by a specified method and specified clock pulses are applied to the respective inverter. CONSTITUTION:At least two IGFET's 5N, 6N..., at least three complementary type inverter circuits I1, I2, I7..., at least two capacitors C3, C6..., etc., are connected with each others as shown in the figure. The same phase clock pulse are applied to one side of inverters I1, I2 and to I7, and the reverse phase clock pulses are applied to the other side of inverters I1, I2. For example, a four-times voltage step-up circuit is constituted as shown in the figure. By applying the same phase clock pulses phi to the inverters I1, I2 and I7, the reverse phase clock pulses against phi are applied to the inverters I2, I6, etc., and a four-times voltage -4V1 of the source voltage -V1 is generated between both ends of capacitor C6.
