Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable distance measurement and photometry to be accomplished simultaneously be detecting focusing from the phase difference of the output signals of a pair of photoelectric arrays to which the peripheral light of the exit pupil of a taking lens enters and detecting luminance from the magnitude thereof.
CONSTITUTION: Luminance is measured by photoelectric element arrays 32, and self-scanning is made by a shift register 33. Focusing detection is performed by an automatic focus control circuit 35 via a sample holding circuit 34. The results of the detection are displayed by a display device 36, and focusing is performed by motor control 37 based on said results. On the other hand, an integrated value 38 and a mean value 39 are obtained from one signal of the sample holding, and if the mean value is smaller than a reference value as a result of the comparison with a level detector 40, the time signal is inputted to the shift register, whereby the power level by each signal is enhanced. The level detector output is inputted as luminance information to an automatic exposure control circuit 42, by which it is arithmetically processed.
