Abstract

PURPOSE: Titled resin composition which is stable at normal temperature and useful in the production of adhesive or paints, prepared by mixing a specific blocked isocyanate-urethane compound with a dissociation-promoting agent in a specified weight ratio.
CONSTITUTION: A blocked isocyanate-urethane compound is prepared by mixing (a) a partially or totally blocked isocyanate compound prepared by mixing a polyisocyanate with an isocyanato group-blocking agent in such an amount that the eq. ratio of the blocking groups in the isocyanato group-blocking agent to the NCO groups in the polyisocyanate is 0.1W1, with (b) an α-glycol resin represented by formula I, wherein A is CH2 or the like, R is H or methyl, R1 and R2 are each H or an alkyl, X1WX8 are each H, Cl or the like, T1 and T2 are each a group of formula II, and n is 0W30, and at least 90% of the total end groups of which (total of T1 and T2) are α-glycol groups of formula II, so that the total isocyanato groups in component (a) is 1.2W0.1. Then, 100pts.wt. of this compound is mixed with 0.01W10pts.wt. of a dissociation-promoting agent to obtain titled composition.
