Abstract

PURPOSE: A powdered coat compositon having excellent storage stability and forming a coat with good mechanical properties, chemical resistance and weatherability without causing yellowing and bubbling, which comprises a blocked product of a specified triisocyanate or an adduct thereof, and a polyal resin.
CONSTITUTION: A triisocyanate (A) of formulaI(wherein a group of formula II is one of formula III or IV) obtd. by phosgenating 1,3,5-tris(aminomethyl)benzene or 1,3,5-tris-(aminomethyl)cyclohexane obtd. by the reduction of 1,3,5-tricyanobenzene in the presence of a reduction catalyst or an isocyanate-terminated adduct (B) obtd. by the reaction of the isocyanate A with an active hydrogen- contg. compd. is blocked, to obtain a blocked product. A polyal resin of m.p. ≥40°C and said blocked product are mixed and powdered to obtain a powdered coat composition.
EFFECT: The isocyanate component is easily powdered.
