Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A 1,3-disubstituted pyrrolidine derivative of formula I (R1 is H or 1W4C lower alkyl; R2 is H, 1W4C lower alkyl or 2W5C acyl; Y and Y' are independently two Hs or oxo groups R3 is 1W4C lower alkyl or phenyl).
USE: Useful as a medicine for inflammatory diseases having an antipyretic, an analgesic and an anti-inflammatory actions, an anticoagulation action on blood platelets, an antiallergic, a hypotensive, an immune regulating and an antirheumatic actions.
PROCESS: A maleimide derivative of formula II is reacted with a thiol derivative of the formula R3-SH, and reduced with lithium aluminum hydride if necessary, and hydrolyzed and esterified if desired to afford the compound of formula I.
