Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform aerobic fermentation effectively with a simple device, by supplying the material to be fermented, which has the moisture content and gas permeability adjusted, to the upper part of the multistage vertical type fermenting tank and by causing this material to drop into the hopper at the lower part by multistage switching system.
CONSTITUTION: The material to be fermented which has the moisture content and gas permeability adjusted so that it may be adapted to aerobic fermentation is supplied to the upper part of multistage vertical type fermenting tank 1 through supply device 2 and has the surface leveled and is stowed by stowage conveyor 3 provided as required. Air is supplied from air supply pipe 5 and is exhausted from exhaust pipe 6 to achieve aerobic primary fermentation in respective stage rooms A1 and A2. Drop door 4 is opened and closed at a prescribed interval to perform switching while proceeding aerobic fermentation in respective stage rooms A1 and A2 of primary fermenting room A, and the material to be fermented drops to the lower stage side successively and reaches hopper-form secondary fermenting room B. Air is supplied into control plate 7 to perform secondary aerobic fermentation while preventing compression of the material to be fermented by control plate 7 provided in room B.
