Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the working of the entire part of the apparatus easy and improve separating performance by connecting two units of drum type separators and a dehydrator in series and supplying coagulants so that intermediate separator as well.
CONSTITUTION: The raw water enters the inside of the drum 101 of a separator 1, where it reacts with coagulants and precipitates. After the supernatant is discharged, the solids are sent to an annular end plate 107 by means of spiral vanes 106 along with the revolution of a drum 101, are lifted upward by scraping up vanes 112 and fall onto the outside circumferential surface of a circular cone body 111. In this process, water content is separated from the solids. Thence, the solids are dropped by a guide plate into the drum 201 of a separator 2 of the construction resembling to that of the separator 1, in the former of which their coagulation reaction is accelerated by the coagulants supplied through the pipe P inserted therein. The solids having been decreased of water contents by receiving the action similar to that in the separator 1 falls into the drum 301 of a dehydrator 3, where they are further separated of water content and agglomerate, thence they are discharged from a sludge discharge chute 14.
