Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for controlling fluid heating process, which is capable of controlling the temperature of hot water to be supplied to be constant independently of the water flow rate by feeding fuel at a rate corresponding to the water flow rate and also capable of preventing explosive ignition and supply of too hot water even if hot-water supply is recommenced after interruption of power supply.
CONSTITUTION: When water supply is started, water flows into a venturi pipe 10 and by-pass circuit 11 after its pressure is controlled by a water governor valve 3. When water passes through a throat portion of the venturi pipe 10, negative pressure developed at the throat is transmitted via a conduit 20 to a water pressure chamber 19 and a diaphragm 17 is moved to the left by the function of pressure difference, so that a gas valve 21 is opened. Water introduced into the by-pass circuit 11, on the other hand, flows into a by-pass passage 11a via a control valve 13 and then into a water pressure chamber 28 via another by-pass passage 11b. Although a diaphragm 26 of a force generator 14 is moved to the left resultantly, its movement is made relatively slow in comparison with the water flow rate by the function of a delay valve 36 provided additionally in a water pressure chamber 30. The setting load of a gas governor 38 is changed by the function of the force generator 14.
