Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the quantity of water supply and obtain a smaller-size apparatus, while preventing boiling given when a low quantity of water is supplied to a heat exchanger, by reducing a pressure loss of the material to be heated.
CONSTITUTION: When a regulating valve 12 is closed completely, the whole water flows into a venturi pipe 10, producing a large differential pressure in the venturi pipe 10 with comparatively low quantity of water, thereby high temperature of water being obtained. As the regulating valve 12 is opened, the water flows slso into the side of a bypass 11 and the differential pressure produced in relation to the whole quantity of water becomes smaller than that in the case of full closure of the regulating valve 12, thereby low temperature of water being obtained. Since the differential pressure in the venturi pipe 10 acts also on a diaphragm 14 of a hydraulic responsive-motion valve 19, a gas valve 18 can be opened with low quantity of water by closing the regulating valve 12, while the gas valve 18 being opened with high quantity of water by opening the valve 12. In addition, though the venturi pipe 10 and the heat exchanger 13 have a considerably large pressure loss, it is reduced by letting water flow also to the side of the bypass 11 through opening of of the regulating valve 12.
