Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve engine starting performance at the time when the atmospheric temperature is low, by providing means for measuring the engine speed and the engine temperature at the time of starting and a control circuit means for processing the output signals of said means and producing an electric signal, and controlling fuel injection timing in response to the engine temperature and engine speed.
CONSTITUTION: Arrangement is such that output torque of the driving shaft is transmitted to fuel injection means 1 via injection angle control unit 2, which is capable of changing the mechanical phase angle of an input turning shaft and an output turning shaft by an electric signal afforded from control circuit 3. This control circuit 3 comprises a micro-processor for carrying out calculation and control, and various data from rotation sensor 4, temperature sensor 5 and pressure sensor 6 are given to the control circuit 3. These sensors 4, 5 and 6 detect respectively the revolutional speed of driving shaft, engine temperature (temperature of lubricating oil is detected and converted into an electric signal), and pressure in cylinder (from strain of bolt in the cylinder head). The control circuit 3 is controlled automatically to advance the fuel injection timing in response to the engine speed in case that the temperature at the time of starting engine is lower than a certain level.
