Abstract
The start-stop device for a motor vehicle engine comprises position sensors (1, 2) for determining the position of the clutch operating member, detectors (3) which deliver a signal when the gear selector lever is in the neutral position, a speed sensor (5) for determining the rotational speed of the engine, a speed sensor (6) for determining the speed of the vehicle, temperature sensors (11, 12) for determining the engine temperature, an electrically controlled interrupting device (17) for interrupting the fuel feed and an electronic control unit (C), which, as a function of the signals of the said sensors and detectors, by means of the said interrupting device produces an interruption of the fuel feed or causes a resumption of the fuel feed and restarting of the engine.
