Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate uneven printing by a method wherein the right end part of the booklet is printed by a stroke moving to the right in the reciprocating movement of a printing head, while the left end part is printed by a stroke to the left, and thereby the acceleration period of a motor in the end part area is removed.
CONSTITUTION: The printing head 1 is in a turnout position P1 before the start of printing. When a printing instruction is given, the printing head is moved at a speed v1 by the pulse motor. When the head comes to a point Q2, the speed of the pulse motor is reduced, and when it comes to a point Q3, the printing head is made to advance to a printing position P2, the speed of movement is accelerated up to the rate v2, and the printing is started from the point Q4 where the acceleration is finished. When it comes to a position Q7, the printing head is lifted, moved to the left and performs the same operation as in the above. Since the printing operation is performed in the process of movement of the dot printing head from the center of the booklet toward the end part thereof in this way, such an operation as making the dot printing head be retreated in the turnout position beforehand is excluded, whereby the printing with a fixed printing quality throughout the booklet can be performed.
