Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a two-pack adhesive in which initial bond strength is improved, consisting of an emulsion type aq. adhesive and a bonding promotor having water absorption properties, a phase-inversion action or a viscosity increase action on said adhesive.
CONSTITUTION: There is provided a two-pack adhesive consisting of an emulsion type aq. adhesive and at least one bonding promotor selected from a water-soluble high-molecular cpd., a surfactant, a metal oxide, a metal hydroxide, an org. acid, a salt of an org. acid, a salt of an inorg acid, a water-soluble org. liquid and water glass; said bonding promotor having water absorption properties, a phase-inversion action and/or a viscosity increase action on said adhesive. As said bonding promotor, carboxylic acid salt type surfactants or org. acid salts are preferred from the viewpoints of less corrosiveness on spray, less effect on the human body and environmental hygiene due to remarkable gelling effect. When an emulsion type aq. adhesive contg. carboxyl gp. or methylol gp. is used, the use of a polyvalent metal salt of an org. or an inorg. acid, or an oxide or a hydroxide of a polyvalent metal as the bonding promotor is preferred, because there is obtd. bonding having an improvement in heat resistance and water resistance.
