CONSTITUTION: A termite-attracting agent containing β-pinene, methyl phenylacetate, 4-phenyl-cis-3-buten-1-ol, β-phenylethyl acetate, diethylene glycol mono-n- dodecyl ether, etc. as attracting components, and a termite-attracting and killing agent containing the above attracting components and an effective amount of termite-killing agent (e.g. DDT, γ-BHC, dieldrin, sodium arsenate, CS2, etc.). The composition has especially remarkable effect in the attraction of common termite, and useful for the detection of the presence of termite. The amount of the attracting component in the composition is 10W50,000ppm, and the composition usually contains a diluent having low termite-repelling activity.
