Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture an amorphous magnetic alloy with superior matertic characteristics by winding a wire around a cylinder if an amorphous magnetic alloy sheet, supplying electric currents to the winding and the sheet itself of produce magnetic fields while heating and maintaining the cylinder at a specified temp., and rotating the direction of the synthetic magnetic field of both the fields to make magnetic anisotropy isotropic.
CONSTITUTION: A molten amorphous alloy is very rapidly cooled at a 104W 106°C/sec cooling rate to manufacture an amorphous alloy sheet. This sheet is rolled into cylindrical shape 1, and covered conductor 4 is wound so that cylinder 1 becomes a magnetic core. Cylinder 1 is then dipped in an oil bath, and while heating cylinder 1 to a temp. of the Curie point or below and the crystallization temp. or below, electric current i1 is supplied to cylinder 1 through leads 31, 32 to produce magnetic field H1. At the same time, electric current i2 similar to current i1 in cycle and different from it in phase by ±π/2 is supplied to winding 4 to produce magnetic filed H2. The synthetic magnetic field of fields H1, H2 rotates in a fixed direction corresponding to displacement of fields H1, H2, whereby magnetic anisotropy induced in cylinder 1 after cooling is made isotropic to enhance the magnetic characteristics of sheet 1.
